CURRY HAS SPRAINED MCLGolden-State-Warriors-logo-design-

Superstar PG Steph Curry will be sidelined at least 2 weeks after he awkwardly fell during game 4 against Houston in their first round series. Curry and the Warriors are lucky the injury isn’t worse. So what does this mean for Golden State?

Golden State should have no problem with Houston as they are currently up 3-1 in the series. If all goes well Curry can be back by game 4 or 5 of the Warriors second round series. While we don’t want any player to ever get injured this significantly increases the Spurs and Thunder’s chances to dethrone Golden State in the Western Conference. Let’s hope Curry gets healthy so that NBA fans can witness his greatness on the playoff stage.

CHRIS PAUL BREAKS HAND

Clippers star Chris Paul broke his right hand in Monday’s loss to Portland. This is a devastating blow to LA and their NBA playoff chances. LA is tied 2-2 in their first round match-up with Portland. Paul is expected to be out of action for 3-6 weeks and by that time the Clippers might already be out of the playoffs and on the golf course.

BOSTON EVENS THE SERIES AGAINST ATLANTA

In what has been perhaps the most entertaining playoff series to date the Celtics came out on top in OT against Atlanta on Sunday. The series is now 2-2. PG Isaiah Thomas has been spectacular and second year guard has stepped up in replace of the injured Avery Bradley. The series shifts back to Atlanta on Tuesday for Game 5. Atlanta received 45 points from Paul Millsap in game 4 as he was unstoppable. If Boston is going to pull this series out, containing Millsap has to be at the top of their agenda list.

Boston had 5 players score in double digits in game 4 and have shown off their depth. This series has all the makings of going to a game 7. It has been very fun to watch and each game has been dramatic. This series is what the NBA playoffs are all about.

CHARLOTTE PULLS EVEN WITH MIAMI

CHRIS BOSH

Charlotte has tied up their first round match-up with Miami, 2-2. The Hornets won on Monday night 89-85. Point Guard Kemba Walker scored 34 points on 13-28 shooting. Miami has been without All-Star PF/C Chris Bosh because of Bosh’s ongoing problems with blood clots. His lose has been a severe blow for the Heat. Luol Deng and Joe Johnson have stepped up in Bosh’s place and have played well as Miami is playing with a smaller lineup. This has been another entertaining series and has the looks of going 7 games.

CLEVELAND SWEEPS DETROIT

KEVIN LOVE

The Cavaliers had no trouble with Detroit, sweeping their first round match-up 4-0. With #2 seed Toronto in a battle with #7 seed Indiana, Cleveland looks like it should have no trouble getting to the NBA Finals. Kyrie Irving played very well against Detroit. Remember the Cavs took Golden State to 6 games in last years NBA finals, playing without Irving and Kevin Love.

With Love and Irving healthy this time around, Cleveland has to be taken as a legitimate threat to win the championship.
