2015-2016 STATISTICS: 14.2pts, 4.8reb, 3.2ast

NBA DRAFT COMPARISON:  WAYNE ELLINGTON

PLAYER SUMMARY: Baker is one of the best stories in college basketball. He was a lightly recruited walk-on who transformed his body and game to become an outstanding college player and a Wichita State legend.

I’ve seen Baker play a lot over the years and I believe his best attribute is shooting. He can really stroke it from deep and is very good at scoring in a variety of ways. He has vastly improved his ball-handling, which has made him become a good passer. I believe Baker is a player who is good at many things but not great at any particular. He isn’t an elite level athlete but seems to always be in the right spot. His lack of foot speed is going to hurt him in the NBA as he will be guarding extremely athletic SG’s.

One word comes to mind when I hear Ron Baker’s name. Winner. While not the most athletic or talented he seems to always make the big play or right play at the right time. He has the talent to be a serviceable back-up who will work his hardest to maximize his potential. Whatever NBA teams that drafts him will possibly get the hardest working player in this year’s NBA Draft.
