PLAYER SUMMARY: Valentine has been a superstar for the Spartans all season long and is on the short list of candidates for National Player of the Year. He has improved each year at MSU and is the 2nd best Senior in the country, right behind Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield.

Valentine is a type of player that isn’t great at one individual aspect of the game, but is good in all phases. He can rebound, pass, defend, score, and guard the opposing teams’ best player. His game is very-well rounded. The senior is also a very smart basketball player and seems to always make the right play or be where he is supposed to.

He has improved his shooting dramatically throughout his college career to where he now has a very reliable jump-shot. He already has a pro-body and has a great desire to overcome the odds and put his team in position to win.

Valentine is already 22-years old. NBA scouts might look at his age and think if he was so good he wouldn’t have stayed until his senior year. I believe Valentine made the right decision to deny his entry into the 2015 NBA Draft and return for one more year at MSU. I have been extremely impressed with the improvements he has made in his game. Denzel Valentine might not be a lottery pick this year, however he is a very safe player to draft as he should be a 10-year NBA veteran who will help an NBA team in many ways. He will be a very solid NBA player. What you see with him is what you will get.
